Bear in the Basket

What parent hasn’t come into a child’s room after naptime and discovered every doll, bear, animal, and blanket on the floor? Children won’t need much help catching on to this game!

Stuffed animals
Large basket or container

Place a large basket or container next to your child’s crib (empty laundry baskets or hampers work well). Place her in the crib along with a teddy bear or supply of stuffed animals or other soft, light toys. Show her how to drop the bear into the basket. You may want to count to her, “One, two, three, drop the bear!”
